Zygor-Elite-Large

We recently announced that we will be introducing a new subscription option later this year called Zygor Elite which will allow players to gain access to the entire Zygor Guides product suite for a monthly fee of $7.99. We also revealed that existing customers (users who have purchased at least 1 full guide) will be able to sign up for Zygor Elite at a discounted loyalty rate of $4.99. This means that if you haven’t already purchased a guide you can do so today and guarantee the loyalty rate when Zygor Elite becomes available. Once Elite launches this method of obtaining loyalty status will no longer be available, so click the link below to make your purchase now:

Why do most of you complain so vehemently when all you have to do is NOT PAY FOR IT? For those of you loyal for years, why are you complaining? Wait, I know you have that right. Freedom this and that… but come on: if you don’t like it move along. I run both Zygor and Dugi Guides…BECAUSE ITS GREAT TO BE FRIGGIN RICH!

I have given Blizzard money since the release of WoW in 2004. I do it willingly. I give money to the welfare state UNWILLINGLY. I like Blizzard better, Samwise for president.

    Bring on the sub…

Your guides are obsolete so why now choose to do a subscription model ?
Your guides are no longer the quickest way to reach 100.
They still have bugs in them and they don’t get updated with new content until 2-3 days (sometimes longer) after content has been released by Blizzard.
I purchased my first guide during Cataclysm, and the guides were quite good. However like Blizzard you at Zygor think your product is the best value for money on the web. It isn’t, and there is absolutely no way I will pay a subscription fee for a sub-optimal levelling experience at the price you are asking for. This game is now ten years old I have no use for any other guides except for the ones I have.
I will not pay for the convenience of having an add-on that tells me what to do next in regards to professions when it is a lot cheaper for me to alt tab. With the way professions work now post-Mists your profession guides are obsolete.
With the way quests are so linear in the game your levelling guides are also obsolete. Unlike pre-cataclysm when people had to move zones/continents to complete quest chains.
Not having purchased the gold guides and being gold capped I also think that these are obsolete.
The only good point about your guides is the SIS, but even that was not implemented into the guides until after I had completed Cataclysm Loremaster. I am content with what I have and I look forward to receiving my free lifetime upgrades for the guides that I already purchased.

I agree firmly that if you intend on making this a subscription you had better fix all the bugs period. I am myself an owner of all the guides and find it more and more of a pain daily with all of the exiting issues and bugs. Not to mention the size of the add on in game!

I was promised a lifetime upgrade when I purchased my guide as well can’t trust them. A company that does not keep their word is not going to keep their word ever.

What part of the announcement where they said you don’t have to do the subscription route did all of you not get. As for “lifetime” upgrades, you still get that even if you don’t go the subscription route. You’ve always had to pay for the “upgrades” to new expansions, that has never been free and has never be promoted as free so what exactly do you mean “lifetime” upgrades. Why can’t people actually take the time to read ALL of the text instead of just skim it? Or stop as soon as the see the word subscription, and then make wrong assumptions because they were too stupid to read the whole thing, I just don’t get it!!

      That’s kinda what they said.

Guys. It says that if you buy a full guide you qualify for the loyalty status. If you buy a full guide after elite is out you wont qualify for the subscription discount.

So if you already have a full paid guide your fine. And already qualify.
If you have not yet bought a full guide you can do so before the elite subscription plan comes out to be eligible for the offer.

Point is if you’ve already bought them all this is purely a rip off and will cause me an I am sure countless others to move on and save our money. Why would I play even $5 per month which is as much as an Xbox Live Subscription that actually gives me games and access to my friends? I don’t get this at all aside from the fact that the company isn’t making enough money off of us already. Sad to say but its a no go for me when it comes to another monthly subscription. As was pointed out earlier, people that own content are/were guaranteed updates for life. So whats the point. I’d rather pay $35 for the next leveling guide than $60 per year fee which is almost double the cost of my guide I would normally get. I’m sorry but for long time users this isn’t a good deal at all.

You were never guaranteed “free” updates for life, so you have to buy the upgrade with every expansion that comes out. For those that have purchased every guide (or even most of them), that’s more expensive that just doing the monthly fee. Many people on this thread have shown the math and it does make sense. Whether you get it or not doesn’t remotely matter.

You make a good point. I have a similar question.
If I start paying for Elite subscription and decide to (for whatever reason) cancel it.
Will I still be able to use the guides I have paid for ?

From my understanding, as posted by the Zygor people, whatever guides you have already purchased will be yours to keep forever. If you stop using the Loyalty program for whatever reason[s], your use of the guides you own now will still be available to you.
By opting in to the Loyalty program, all it does is grant you access to ‘all’ of the Zygor Guides you currently do NOT own. That way it grants you the opportunity to utilize everything. Once you stop paying for the Loyalty Program, it reverts back to whatever Zygor Guides you currently ‘do’ own.
