Guide Update: Accounting For Flying Mounts – User Feedback Request!

Earlier this year we introduced the User Feedback section and already we’ve tackled some of the top submissions including the request to bring back guides for The Elder Scrolls Online.

Today we are pleased to announce another one of the top suggestions has been made to the guides. Beginning with the Draenor expansion we started adding more precise walking directions to direct players around the game world, which was especially helpful for intricate, hard to reach places. However, once players achieved the Draenor Pathfinder achievement and could fly in Draenor these steps were no longer required.

One of the most requested changes was to make the guides detect when a character could fly directly to the destination rather than forcing them to pass over the detailed walking directions first. We are pleased to announce that as of Version 14036, all guides have been updated to reflect this change.

Now, if you are a flyer, the guide will direct you in a straight beeline to the destination, with the exception of non-optional paths that must be crossed, or zone to zone travel (if you have prefer flying enabled).

Remember that your User Feedback votes reset at the start of each month so if you haven’t seen your favorite submission choosen for development be sure to revote. Note that you must be a Zygor Elite member in order to vote.

wife and I use Zygor every day and have for years….what I find weird is that you haven’t come up with a guide to GET flying ability in Draenor….perhaps you looked at it and it was too complicated as more than one toon can have the necessary accomplishments.

I would like the guide to be able to detect what class I’m playing. Since I play a mage a lot I can portal directly, but the guide always wants me to go to Tol Barad then to Orgimaar, or Two shrines/pandaria then click a portal there, Where as a mage I can portal directly to the place I need to be. When im on other classes those directions are helpful except when I have my hearthstone set to the intended place it doesn’t recognize it, or I have one of those guild portals to certain major cities it doesn’t recognize.
