With the relaunch of Zygor’s Guides for The Elder Scrolls Online as part of Zygor Elite we wanted to share some tips and tricks for new and old players alike. Not an Elite Member? Click here to sign up now.

How To Sync Up With The Guide On A Pre-Existing Character

If you want to use the guides on a character you started leveling before using the guides you’ll need to use the Smart Injection System (SIS) to scan through the guides and find the best place to start.

To do this, click the orange guide picker button on the Guide Viewer to open the menu. For this example, we’ll use a character that is already level 43, so we’ll load the “Bangkorai” guide since it shows a level range of (36-43).

Once loaded, the guide should automatically begin scanning through the guide, skipping any green completed steps, and stopping on any red incomplete steps. Generally, it may stop on optional steps to collect skyshards or lorebooks, which you can either choose to go after or manually skip by RIGHT-CLICKING the forward arrow again.

Eventually you should come across quests you have not completed yet or that are currently in your log. The SIS feature can see your characters full quest history, however, it cannot see what stage you’re on for quests already in progress, so once you reach this point you will need to figure out what all you’ve done so far in order to find the best place to start in the guide.

Once you do this it should all start to sync up and then it should be a seamless experience from then on.

How To Set Key Bindings In ESO To Control Guide Steps
There is no Travel System in our ESO guides, so all of the directions of where to go are provided within the guide steps themselves. Due to the mapping system being a little less reliable in ESO, we decided to make all of these “travel steps” manually controlled, so you’ll need to skip to the next step yourself when you reach your destination rather than waiting for the system to detect that you’ve arrived.

keybindings

One tip to handle these steps quick and easy is to bind the guide step controls to your keyboard or mouse buttons. To do so, press the ESC key, select “CONTROLS” from the left side list, scroll down to the “ZYGOR GUIDES VIEWER” section, and click the region that says “Not Bound” next to each control to trigger the key bind prompt and set the key or mouse button you would like to control that function.

Now when you come across a step that says to manually skip forward, all you have to do is hit the key bind button you set it to.

Will those that has already purchased your TESO guide, before everything was halted on it, re-gain access to this too (other than ELITE members) or will we be wronged? This is a legitimate question that I think everyone who has purchased must be thinking. Please let us know, thanks!

I originally bought the ESO guides when they first came out. I’m without an Elite sub (for now), but I have access to the new TESO, so yes, you should gain access to it as well.
