New Zygor Elite Perk: Beta Guide Access!

by (7 years ago).

Today, we’re introducing a new exclusive feature to our Zygor Elite service: an early access program where you can try out guides and features still in development (beta). We’re rolling out a new update to the client that will add a new entry under the Guides section of the Zygor Client* for “World of Warcraft (Beta Guides)”. This will allow you to download a separate instance of the Zygor Guides Viewer that includes unpolished versions of guides still in development. This will also allow you to switch between the two versions of the addon in game.

NOTE: This is completely optional and if you’d prefer only to use our stable releases this same content will be added to the non-beta guides once they have been polished and fully tested. Also, while you can have both versions INSTALLED you can’t have both versions ENABLED in-game at the same time. You need to only use one version of the addon at a time to avoid errors.

For this first release we’ve added the majority of Legion content that is currently missing, including Legion POI’s, Pets and Mounts, and Titles and Achievements.

You must have a Zygor Elite subscription in order to access the beta guides. If you don’t have one yet you can signup here.

* We expect the client to be fully rolled out over the next 3 hours. If you don’t see the Beta section yet just check again later.

I thought the guide WAS beta, considering the amount of issues with the way-points and directional arrows in both outdoor content and dungeons. I remember when the guide was worth the price. For weeks now, I am contemplating cancelling my “elite” subscription (and yes, I did buy all of the guides, both horde and alliance). There definitely seems to be some serious quality control issues of late. I’ll give them to the end of December, then I continue doing what I do now: play without the guide and avoid frustration.

As was explained in a previous post (http://zygorguides.com/blog/zygor-guides-updated-for-patch-7-1-return-to-karazhan/) Blizzard has completely disabled addons from detecting player location in dungeons and raids, and so waypoint arrow functionality no longer works in dungeons and raids. There’s nothing we can do about this I’m afraid. We’re working to update these guides to now direct players with text directions, but unless Blizzard changes the api back to how it was then waypoints will remained disabled.

What guides have you experienced issues with in outdoor areas?

Not availeble when you bought ALL the guides????? ( you dont hear me complaining when i’ve paid for ALL the guides and still do not have them ALL working yet) worked hard for my money to buy those guides the past years dont have any left to signup for Elite and pay for my already payed for guides again. Feels like a second degree costumer! It still does not feel fair, and when i read the mail you send me about this subject it feels like : we let you know we have them but you cant get the Beta guides, nananananah.

Simple fact is they don’t really care about people that pay for the guides, only people that give them residual income (aka Elite customers). They look at it as the people that pay monthly are more profitable for them. One thing they could do to make it more fair (though I doubt they would do this) is modify said elite program so once you pay for some preset amount of time (for example 24 months) then whatever is current at that time becomes yours. And to get anything further then you have to pay an additional x number of months. This way it doesn’t become an all or nothing approach, I think people who are hesitant would find that approach far more enticing. And before anyone says no one does that, I can name two companies that do that…well…..one company and one product. Bad memory and all. 😛
