Unable to Resolve Guide Conflicts

I recently decided to try out the Beta Guides. I have had problems ever since.

I read through the forum postings and I tried to resolve the issues myself but every time the guides are updated it seems that I'm back to where I started. Obviously, I'm missing something.

Could you please give me a step-by-step explanation how to get a fresh start. How do I select which guides I want to use (Regular or Beta)? How do I disable the set that I don't want to use?

At this point I am spinning my wheels and it's driving me crazy.

Most likely you have both versions enabled at the same time. When you start up the game at the character selection screen click on the Addons button at the lower left corner. That will open up a list containing all of your installed addons. In that list you should find 2 Zygor entries, one for the normal 6.1 version and one for the beta version. Use the check boxes to enable the one you want to use and empty the check box for the other one.

Thanks. It never occurred to me to check the addons. That seems to have resolved most of the problems.

One issue remains. When I open up the auction house I have it set to scan automatically. This seems to work ok but when I select the appraiser button after the scan has completed, I get the message — SCANNING: Querying page 1 of White Turnip Seeds data (stage 1/4).. — and nothing happens. If I select Abort, the message changes to — SCANNING: Querying auctions data (stage1/4).. — At that point, if I want to post anything I must switch to the Auctioneer Appraiser tab.

Try disabling your other AH addons to see if it works with only Zygor doing stuff at the AH.

It works after disabling Auctioneer.

Auctioneer has an option that tells Auctioneer to do a scan of items that other addons do searches for. This might be causing the conflict that gets Zygor stuck when they're both enabled.

I disabled the scanning other addons option in Auctioneer but that didn't help.

I'm just glad to have the guides working again. I can do without Auctioneer for the time being.
