Is there a separate cooking guide that walks you through each of the "ways" of cooking? Guess if there is, I'd need to buy the professions guide, right? Making sure it's in there before upgrading.

The Professions guides do have all of the different Cooking Ways in them. They are also available thru the Achievements guides since you get an achievement for mastering each way of cooking.My Flight Path Follies guide
