Decided to multibox my way to exalted with Bloodsail before killing mobs in tanaris to grind Steamwheedle back up.
Horde: Bloodsail Buccaneers guide: step 64 (NOT the Insane sub-guides)
This step information is incomplete, and step 65 is incorrect. While you are phased in the Bloodsail attack on Booty Bay event, you can only farm to 1 point short of revered. You cannot farm all the way to exalted. Then you spend the rest of your grind outside Booty Bay waiting for the 4 level 100 Bruisers to respawn... if you are as stubborn as I am and refuse to regrind steamwheedle far enough to turn in the "return to Revilgaz" doublerum then regrind the BB bruisers.
You might mention at the start of the questline guide (versus the just straight grinding guide) that the best they can get without a LOT more grinding is 11999/12000 honored...
Which is good enough to get the Avast ye, Admiral! quest and get the hat, and good enough to get the Insane title, but NOT good enough to get and keep the Bloodsail rep at exalted...
