Gear recommendations - Issues - Details

So decided to dig in to the complaints I have seen in the forums regarding Gear, first the system doesn't see the artifact, and since no weapons are in legion, it tries to send you back to get some based on your choice.

For me it is choosing gear based on every other druid spec except for Balance which is my main spec. Its also choosing gear for a raid instance that wont be open for several months.

Just like we have check boxes for difficulty, Maybe a check box for each of the Raids so that we can focus on the one that is out right now.

Even gear recommendations are off for all specs right now.

I have had no problems with the gear system doing what you're claiming. It's been ignoring my artifact weapon, not trying to change it at all and the gear finder tells me there are no upgrades for it. It is also not trying to suggest raid gear for a raid that's not in the game yet. Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game and see if that fixed it

There are weapons in Legion; there just is no point in equipping any except for transmog reasons. For example, in the Demon Hunter Class Hall, the vendor who sells the iLevel 800-840 gear sells warglaives as the first option at the top left. The warglaives are not cosmetic and have full usable stats, but by the time you get into the order hall, they are obsolete because you have your artifact weapons.

Hence, transmog. What might be closer to the truth is that I have not seen any quest reward weapons, and do not recall random BoE weapons either.

All of the class hall quartermasters have your weapons available as the first thing you can purchase. I believe those are there so that people can have the proper weapon equipped when they need to change specs to go after an artifact for that spec.

So for example, if you're on a hunter where the 3 specs use 3 different weapons when you switch from the BM spec (gun) over to MM (bow) so you can go after that artifact you need to change to a bow. By having those higher end weapons on the class hall quartermaster it gives you a quick level-appropriate weapon to use in the artifact scenario.

So before I post anything here I always make a fresh install of Zygor, been around computers enough to know thats the first thing any developer will ask you to do, regardless of the fact that its broken.

After doing what was suggested still is way way broken.

Really, well I will screen shot it telling me to go in to Nighthold for my gear..

yes, I did, still broken.

After logging in for the first time in a couple days, I found that my gear suggestions too were erronious. I have done as you said in this thread and deleted and reinstalled. I have the newest version and gear suggestions automatic or manual it does not swap or suggest gear. very frustrating. gear suggestions is about 30% of the reason i bought zygor's.
