Weapon being suggested isn't even close...

All stats on it are worse. The only thing I can think of that its accounting for is the active on the weapon, but that active is terrible.... Apparently nothing I have is better than that weapon its recommending, not even my heirloom sword

Pretty much all gear being recommended are not better, Blood DK.

Str is better than Stamina or Haste? Im a tank...

Do you have it set to show that suggestion in a pop up window? If so do a Shift + click (or it might have been Shift + right click) on the Decline button to get it to generate a gear system specific bug report and post that for us.

The issue is likely that it's still set to the old item score values and not our recently updated ones. To fix this, go into the Options and under Item Scoring click the Reset button. You should see the values change to the new ones:

Neither one of those work, can't report the item.

I clicked reset, my stats above the reset button look the same as yours before and after. It didnt change anything. (I even pressed it before going to C - gear reccomendentions for the first time, before it loaded the cache).



For now, I'm going to use Pawn. Let me know if you figure out whats up!


EDIT! Went to the level 20 dungeon and just farmed the weapon so I could press Decline... It still shows on my reccomended gear tab, and when I equip it, it says there is no upgrade available.

im 99% sure its taking the +193 haste from its active as a static stat. which if it had that as a stat, I guess it would be better.



Final edit: I removed Haste from the Item scoring (set to 0) and now its recommending better gear, though this is NOT a preffered method

We don't score those special effects so it shouldn't be taking that on use haste into account. When you clicked on Decline did you hold the Shift key?

No, what does holding shift + clicking decline do? All I know is when I removed haste, it was no longer recommended

Holding the Shift when clicking on Decline will generate a bug report for that suggestion so we can see exactly what the system is scoring and have a better idea of what might be happening. Please try that and post up the bug report it generates.

I've already tossed the item, dont feel like going back to get it lol


Also, the suggested dungeon on the recommended gear tab. is suggesting Slave Pens, a level 60 dungeon, and nothing in there is better than the gear i have. im level 69 DK blood. It says I should go there for a Runed Funglecap, that isnt even recommended, nor is it any good

When in game click on the orange down arrow to open the guide selection window. What is the number that it shows in the bottom left corner?

Try doing a full reset of the guide settings by exiting the game, going to your WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder, and delete the Zygor files in there.

deleting the files worked. now it suggests the BEST dungeon and the gear looks correct!

One last thing, are gem sockets included in the rating? not the actual gems, but just having the sockets?

It looks like it, because raw stats on certain items without gem sockets are better if u dont compare it to gear with gem slots (but with gems it COULD be better).

It kind of throws me off since I can't exactly afford gems you know ?

It might give a base value for the item having a slot on it. I don't remember if that's a default part of the scoring. The way to see for sure would be to have it give a recommendation pop up with an item that has a slot and do that Shift + Decline to get it to generate a bug report and you can see in the bug report what stats are getting a score and what that value is.
