Which guide do I choose

I just created a sorcerer and I have not the slightest idea which guide to choose 1st. There are no instructions that I see from the zygor client after creating the character. I searched the forums and I did not find any help. Please help, thank you.

Click on the orange down arrow on the guide viewer to open up the guide selection window. If you are going thru the tutorial with the Wailing Prison select that guide and load it. If you skipped the tutorial zone and went straight to a normal zone then pick the zone guide for where you are and load that. Then just follow the arrow and steps.

Shouldn't that be automatic or is that another API restriction?

Normally it's automatic but there might have been an addon conflict or some other oddity that didn't let the guide viewer know where he was starting. Things like that happen sometimes.
