Legion Treasures and Rare Spawns guide

I’ve found an addon conflict. It’s World Quest Tracker : https://mods.curse.com/addons/wow/world-quest-tracker
With that enabled I can only see the Zygor POI once in a zone. Subsequent map opening shows no POI.
With it disabled they are showing up as expected.

Hmm, I wasn't able to reproduce this one. I was always getting the POIs for the zones even with WQT running. Try resetting your WQT and Zygor settings and see if that makes any difference.

Okay. This is weird. When I reported the issue it was definitely World Quest Tracker being the cause. Now I try it again, I find it's actually Zygor. I tried with only Zygor running and the PoIs would disappear on opening the map a second time.

I then removed the savedvariables, and it still happened.

So I decided to remove Zygor and reinstall a fresh copy with the savedvariables removed again. Still the same.

I even removed the WTF folder and the issue is still the same.

Last thing I tried was removing the cache but still the same.

      I am now totally stumped.

Have you tried with different characters and different levels? Maybe it's something specific to one of those. Also, normal or beta version of the guides?

Okay. I've done some more testing and these are the results.

Firstly I am using the live version 6.1.15434

I again removed my WTF and cache folders and tried several characters with only Zygor running and they all exhibited the same issue until I came to one that was not on the Broken Isles. He was on Draenor and the PoIs for Frostfire Ridge in Draenor showed this issue, which was where he was located, but all other areas in Draenor and Broken Isles were okay. What I found then was that if I clicked on another area with PoIs and then closed and opened the map, the PoIs in Frostfire Ridge would reappear.

So I now have a work-around for the issue and hopefully others having the same issue will too.
Granted it should not bug like this and I'm at a loss to why it does when I have only Zygor running and a clean WTF folder.

If you take one of the other toons that it seems to be working fine on to that same zone in WoD and try it do you get the same result or does it just work fine for them? So just trying to see if it's zone or toon related at all.

It is zone specific and happens on all the characters I tried, all over level 100.
I just tried it on a level 78 DK I had in Orgrimmar and it happens on that one too.

It happens on whichever WoD or Legion zone I open first.
e.g. On the level 78 I open the map to show Suramar. PoIs showing as they should. Close the map and reopen it to Suramar and the PoIs are gone. If I now close the map and reopen it to Suramar the PoIs are still missing. I have to open another zone up, like Stormheim and then I can either go back to the Suramar zone and the PoIs are there, or close the map and reopen it to Suramar and the PoIs are there.

I'm still unable to reproduce this and I don't know why. I loaded up my 110 warlock who's sitting in Broken Isles Dalaran. I changed over to bug testing mode which is all addons disabled except for Zygor and Bug Sack/Bug Grabber. I opened up the map and changed over to Suramar and I see all of the POIs and the available world quests. I closed the map and then opened it again and changed to Suramar again and I still see all of the POIs. I then closed the map and opened it again and this time went to Azsuna where I could see all POIs. Closed the map and then opened it back to Azsuna once again and still can see all of the POIs. I then proceeded to open and close each Legion zone map 5 times in a row and every single time I opened the map I could see all of the POIs.

Now since you originally said you thought it was a conflict with World Quest Tracker I then enabled that addon so now I only had WQT, Zygor, and Bug Sack/Bug Grabber enabled. I then performed the exact same tests as above with opening and closing the map for every Legion zone multiple times in a row and I got the exact same results. No matter what I tried I was always able to see the POIs on the map.

Try this for a test. It will give you a more 'clean' environment for testing where Zygor is the only addon installed. You will be able to easily put your addons and settings back in place after testing by renaming the folders back to their original names.

                1. Exit the game
                2. Go to your WoW/Cache folder and delete everything in there
                3. Go to your WoW folder and rename the Interface and WTF folders to Interface.Old and WTF.Old
                4. Run the Zygor desktop client, click the refresh button in the top right, and then click on the Install button
                5. Go in game to test and then let me know if that fixed it

I'll get back to you tomorrow with the test results. It's definitely an odd one.

                    Interesting.
                    It happens following this :

You mean you still have the POIs disappearing when it's a 'fresh' install and only Zygor is installed?

Yep. Something very weird going on here.

Let's double check our testing situations. Are you standing in the zones when you open the map for that zone or are you opening the map and changing to that zone map due to standing in a different zone?
