Heirlooms can be upgraded popup

I keep getting, on my characters that have heirlooms, that the heirlooms can be upgraded to a higher level. That's all good and everything, but the heirlooms it's saying can be upgraded are already upgraded to 110. Not sure how to get this popup to stop showing incorrect information.

I am running v6.1.16135
I have destroyed and recreated the heirlooms
I have scanned and repaired

Any suggestions?

It's upgraded in the heirloom window but what about the pieces that you have equipped? If you had those pieces already equipped when you upgraded them in the heirloom window that will not upgrade the worn heirlooms. To upgrade the equipped heirlooms you must first remove and destroy the ones that are worn and then get a new copy of the upgraded one from the heirloom window to re-equip.

As mentioned, "I have destroyed and recreated the heirlooms". That was my first thought, but all my level 100s were sitting in the Fel Armor from the pre-expansion event waiting for the heirloom upgrade. I upgraded the heirlooms on my 110 main, and then swapped out the gear on my alts. So this is not the issue.

Woops, missed that one. Is it only on the 110 that it says the heirlooms can be upgraded or is it on all toons?

Okay I had /a lot/ of my alts sitting around 100 or 101 while I completed flying, and waited for heirlooms to be able to be upgraded to 110. When the patch was released I went on my 110 main, and bought a set of each type (cloth, leather, mail, and plate) of heirloom upgrades.

I then cycled through my alts and replaced the chest, legs, shoulders, helm, cloak, and ring on each of them. When I would zone like through a portal or hearth the notice would popup saying the heirlooms needed to be upgraded.

At first I noticed it on my lower level (below 100) who was in the heirlooms prior to the 110 upgrade. So I thought that was the cause and removed them and recreated them. However, still got the popup when I hearthed or ported anywhere.

Then I noticed it on my 104 level toons that I had replaced her gear with heirlooms after upgrading them. I thought maybe it didn't notice that the gear was upgraded and deleted all the heirlooms and recreated them. Still get the popup when I ported or hearthed.

Thought maybe there was something corrupted with the addon. So I did a scan and repair. Still get the popup.

I have tossed on my toon a level 90 heirloom necklace, and that /is/ showing up in the list properly as being able to be upgraded.

Edit: Not sure if it would help any, but added a list of addons that are install. Not all are being ran on all characters.

Try this for a test just to see if a 'clean' game and Zygor install make any difference to this. Once the test is done feel free to rename the folders back to original in order to bring back all of your addons and settings.


1. Exit the game
2. Go to your WoW/Cache folder and delete everything in there
3. Go to your WoW folder and rename the Interface and WTF folders to Interface.Old and WTF.Old
4. Run the Zygor desktop client, click the refresh button in the top right, and then click on the Install button
5. Go in game to test and then let me know if that fixed it

Sorry didn't work. Tried resetting my WTF and Interface folder, deleting my cache, reinstalling Zygor (only addon running), but still getting the exact same popup.

We'll have to see if we can reproduce this to try to figure out what's going on. So far no one else has reported anything like this so not sure what's happening.

I'm having the same problem. Tested with freshly created 110 heirlooms on a leverl 100 character.

It seems Zygor only warns you heirloom can be upgraded.. if needed, for example: If you have a lvl 60 gear and you´re over that level, it should be upgraded. Seems like just a warning and nothing else.

We do have a test for this in the works. I don't think it made it out with today's update but it should be out soon.
