I've just got to the step below and Commander Chambers does not have any quests for me :

Looks like you have a lot of quests in your log. Is your quest log full? Try completing some of those other quests to reduce how many you have in the log then go back and see if a quest is available. Also try running thru the campaign guide from step 1 to make sure nothing was missed.

P.S. You might want to update the guides as well since you're a little behind on the version number.

This is an alt and agreed that I have a lot of quests as I have been skipping between guides
I'll see if any steps are missing from that guide, though I don't think there are. I'll also check the campaign guide too.
Whether the ques log is full or not will not affect the npc showing me quests though. So not sure why you commented on this apart from the number

P.S. You might want to update the guides as well since you're a little behind on the version number.

Weird. I have the auto-update option selected so the guides should be up to date. So there is obviously something wrong with the client as it has not updated the guides. Any ideas ?

I commented on the quest log because I'm not sure if Blizzard decided to try to pull some stunt with having quests not show up if the log is full and you can't accept any more. Never know what odd stuff they'll try, I mean they didn't even tell anyone they were removing the numbers on the quest log to let you know how many quests are actually active in there.

Most likely Java got hung up and isn't updating stuff properly. Try killing off java.exe in the task manager or restarting the computer. Also make sure that you have the check box beside WoW on the client enabled.

Tell me about it. I've hit the limit so many times with no warning due to them removing the indicator. I've even been in touch with a GM and all they say is to bug report it or enter as a suggestion I've sent several reports in as it annoys the heck out of me considering the shear volume of quests this expansion throws at you due to profession quests etc.

Ahha. The checkbox next to WoW was not enabled for some reason. No idea how that got turned off, but that should fix it

Found the issue with "The Mage Tower" quest. The Mage Tower must be built and active to get the quest. Since I have not got the other 2 building quests yet, then I guess the same is true of them.

Ah, that makes sense. I know there's something with the different buildings on the in the Shore that get built as a weekly quest so it's probably tied to that.
