Window Size issue..

Hey all,

love the guides, but somehow when I was moving the entire guide window, it dragged to double width... now I can't get it back to original size. This happened to me a LONG time ago, but I can't remember how to reset it back to normal size .

Can someone help?

You can reset the settings by exiting the game, going to your WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder, and delete the Zygor files in there. That will fix the window for you.

Bummer, it didn't work .

My other toons are fine, just my main. I also tried uninstalling and reinstalling, that didn't work as well.

Any other ideas?

Are you sure you exited the game before deleting the Zygor files? You were looking in the correct folder? Deleting those files will fix it.

I'm either looking in the wrong folder, or not finding the right wow/wtf section... is it the one in the main game folder? Still can't resolve this...

Exit the game. Go into your WoW folder and then go into the WTF folder. In there should be a folder named Accounts so go into that one. Now you should see 1 or more folders with names that are either numbers or your WoW username. Go into the first one of those folders and in there you will see a bunch of folders for the different realms and a SavedVariables folder. Do not go into the realm folders but instead go into the SavedVariables folder. If you see some Zygor files in there delete them. Then go back to the Accounts folder and go into the next folder of numbers or username if one exists. Once you have gone into each account folder and deleted the Zygor files in the SavedVariables folder then start up the game again and see how it looks.

No, those are the steps I've been following. Is there any type of cloud backup with the account? I went so far as to totally delete any Zygor references on the computer, complete uninstall, etc. The same characters have the issue. If I somehow misclick the box and expand it, I cannot make it smaller again, and those steps don't seem to work (followed them exactly above). I only have one account folder (only one account), and I checked ALL the other folders for those files as well.

Everything is saved in those 2 files in the SavedVariables folder for the settings. When you delete those files it should make the guide act like the first time you installed it on every character. If you're not seeing that 'fresh install' look on every character then you didn't find the right folder.

It does reload the guide when I do that, in terms of the saved settings, the steps they were on "previously" in the guide. Here is the exact path of the file I'm getting to for the two zygor files in the location you state.

C:\Program Files (x86)\World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\XXXXXXX\SavedVariables

Delete ZygorGuidesViewer.lua and Zygorguidesviewer.lua.bak. (out of game), then reload game.

The guides go through the startup for each character (as it doesn't know the guide it was on anymore), but the window size doesn't change.

Is there another location?

Glad to hear you resolved it. It should have been fine after deleting those files. What did you have to do to fix it?
