There is currently a Blizzard bug on the Harrison Jones dailies, it may extend to other dailies, I'm unsure, where if you Hearth with the quest in your log, it is removed.
Currently, the Zygor guide walks you right into this trap by suggesting you Hearth at the end of the chain to turn in the final quest. If you do this, the quest is dropped from your log and you have to redo the final stage all over again.
