What exactly do you think is wrong with this suggestion? The gear system is scoring by the stats and the stats say you were given a correct suggestion.

Well...an item with 910 ilvl vs a 700ish...the stats is one thing but the ilvl should be the priority in that kind of situation

The ilvl means nothing when it comes to dps or survivability. The only thing that mattes in those cases are the stats. The only thing that ilvl does is to help unlock a dungeon or raid. The ilvl will not help you to complete that dungeon or raid. This is why most gear suggestions (us, icy-veins, ask mr robot, pawn, etc.) never mention ilvl and ilvl is not part of the stat weights. If you need a higher ilvl to enter a dungeon or raid then you have extra pieces in your bag that you can equip fast to get into the dungeon or raid, then you put your real gear on that will let you survive once you're inside.
