Auto update AH data?

Is there an option to have the app automatically update the auction house historical data in the background instead of manually refreshing or re-launching the app? I do not see an option for it in the settings. Thanks!

The desktop client will update the data in the background but in order for it to be used in game (if you've been in game for a long time) you have to reload the UI so the Gold guide can use that updated data. There is not anything in the settings to get it to automatically reload the UI as that would be very annoying to have your UI reload at odd timing.

How often does it update? Because I have had it open right now for 6+ hours and it has not updated on its own. Thanks!

It should be doing an hourly update for the normal pricing data and the historical data gets updated roughly every 2 days. The historical data is just a rolling 30 day average pricing data so that the gold guide will know what a normal price should be for the different items. The hourly scan data it does is to give the gold guide some current AH prices so it can be used without having to scan the AH first and still be fairly accurate in it's suggestions.

Thanks for the explanation. It seems that the program does not do the hourly update on its own. Tested it many times throughout the day.

It should be doing it. Is the small box beside WoW (on the desktop client) orange? If not you want to check that and make it orange to enable the AH updates.
