Manual complete of flightpoints and setting heartstone

Somtimes I start a guide, switch to another and than back to the guide before. Class halls quest for example.
Everytime I reopen a guide, it runs thru all steps (green coloured) but at steps like "get this flight point" or "set your heartstone at this inn", I have to mark as completed by right clicking it.

Its not a big deal, Im just curious why the guide cant remember that I did that already? It this because it checks server side but only quests can requested?

You pretty much got it there. The guide viewer is checking for stuff from the server to know if it's already been completed but the server doesn't know if you set a hearthstone at a specific spot to report that to the guides. And the only way for it to know about a flight point is if you open the flight map which is the only time the server will send that info to an addon. You can save a click or two by just right clicking on the next step button instead of marking it complete. A right click on the next step button will just go to the next step and start the fast forward process again, no need to actually mark those steps as completed.
