Odd font / display issue on client window

It may be only on my side, but a rather minor thing has been happening lately – odd font and kerning issues.

I know fonts are (generally) local resources, so I'm curious how/why this might be happening. Not a big deal, but something I thought you'd like to know.

Try reinstalling Java to see if that makes any difference. First time I've seen anyone mention odd fonts for the client and since Java can be touchy I'm thinking it might be Java related.

I had Java 8 Update 111, so I uninstalled that, downloaded and installed Java 8 Update 161 and it still happens. However, watching the window, it shows the fonts correctly, then it's as if there's another character being displayed over the first set. Strange, but it isn't breaking anything.

Try the following steps to see if they help with the font.

        1) Right click on "Computer" or "This PC" on your desktop and select Properties
        2) On the left, click on Advanced system settings
        3) Under the Advanced tab (should open by default), click on Environmental Variables
        4) For the System Variables section (lower half), click New
        5) Enter "J2D_D3D" (no quotes) for the Variable name
        6) Enter "false" (no quotes) for the Variable value
        7) Click OK
        8) Restart the Zygor client

I created the system variable and gave it false for its value. Started the client and still had the odd font over-writing issue. I don't think it is a font problem, rather an "over-writing" problem. Because in the first second or so of the client being loaded, it is all normal, then the next second, it gets some odd-ball character placed on top of the normal text.

It seems to only effect the "I" (capital i) and apostrophe (')...
