Leveling guides Missing

Good Day

Please can you help me my Eastern and Western Plaguelands quest guides are missing, I have updated it again last night to the latest version and still they are missing. Please can you let me know how I can sort this problem out.

when I click on the guides it shows in chat that those 2 guides are missing.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.

1. exit WoW
2. go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. run the desktop client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. go back in game to test and let me know if that fixed it

Please help me sort this as this is the last 2 guides I need to complete for my Loremaster of Eastern kingdoms (again).

I think I see what's happened. A lot of the Horde guides are being re-written and the 2 Plaguelands guides are currently flagged as a beta version for the re-write. In EK I see Cape of Stranglethorn, Hinterlands, Western Plaguelands, Badlands, and Eastern Plaguelands all currently marked as being a beta version due to the re-write that's in progress. Only people with an Elite subscription are able to access any of the beta guides so this is why you are not seeing them in game. They should hopefully not be in beta for too long.

I think it is unacceptable that you take away guides from people that paid for them even if it is for one version to the next as I have been buying all your leveling guides every time a new one came out back when we just paid for each expansion, I stopped using your new guides when you came up with your monthly subscription guide packages that is why I don't have WoD and onward.

I fixed the problem myself by installing an old version of the viewer, I hope you will not do this again as back when I paid for the leveling guides there was nothing said that I will one day not be able to use them because you will become a subscription service it said life time updates.

For now my problem is solved but if I can not solve this problem in the future when the game does not allow to load an old version I will vent about this again. Thanks for your replies I do appreciate the ongoing support on the forums.

They have not been permanently removed. They are temporarily unavailable while being re-written. You will have access to them again as soon as the re-write is finished. Re-writing old guides and giving you the new guides when they are completed is part of those lifetime updates.

Permanently removed or not, we can't use the guide as intended. So what do we do in the meantime? Continue to load old guides?
