Guides Client Unable to Update

For the past week or so, the Guides Client will not update. The wheel in the upper right corner just spins. I'm unable to 'repair' or go into the settings menu. I tried reinstalling and the same thing happened.

Any suggestions?

Your Java is hung up. Try opening the Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Escape) and in the Processes tab (pre-Win8) or the Details tab (Win8 or Win10) find the java.exe process that is running. When you find it end that process then try running the client again.
