The Pilgrim’s Bounty event guides have been updated for changes this year. The updates were made to the Retail and Cata Classic versions of the game (Classic does not have this event).
Here’s your rundown of the latest updates this week:
Fresh Progression Servers
Blizzard launched all new fresh progression servers for Wow Classic yesterday. You can use our existing Classic guides for these new servers too. We’ve made a number of improvements to the Alliance side guides coinciding with this release:
Generally improved routing for the entire guide
Improved routing for class specific quests
Streamlined grinding steps to be less large and tedious.
Improved grinding locations
Vastly reduced the amount of grinding for Hardcore players.
Added more hardcore-specific quests and routing.
Improved Hardcore warning tips including class specific tips for handling certain areas.
Misc bug fixes / typos
We’re in the process of doing this same overhaul to the Horde guide and will be rolling out more updates soon.
Earthen Exploration Leveling (10-71) Guide
There’s a new leveling method in town!
Earthen Allied Race characters can level from 10-71 by exploring zones without killing a single enemy. We released a new Earthen Exploration Leveling (10-71) Guide this week. You’ll go from level 10 to level 71 and ready to go to The War Within zones in roughly 2.5 hours!
Firelands Campaign and Dailies updates
The Molten Front Campaign and Molten Front Daily Quests guides have been reworked for Cataclysm Classic. They should feel smoother and work better overall now.
On Wednesday, Blizzard Entertainment held a Direct livestream for the 30th Anniversary of the Warcraft franchise and shared lots of news and info about what’s on the horizon for World of Warcraft going into 2025.
Here’s an overview of what was announced and how it relates to Zygor Guides.
World of Warcraft Retail
Patch 11.0.7 “Siren Isle” is expected December 17th with new story content and quests. We’re currently working on guides for this.
Patch 11.1 “Undermine(d)” is expected Quarter 1 of 2025 and will add the Goblin city of Undermine as an actual zone to explore. There will also be a new dungeon and raid, and new delves. You’ll be able to align yourself with one of 4 Cartel’s for Renown, rewards, and a new vehicle. You’ll get a special customizable D.R.I.V.E. ground mount with drift and accelerate abilities to traverse this area. We will be releasing updates to cover the new content.
Midnight Expansion will be revealed in the Summer of 2025. It was hinted that Blizzard may finally be adding player housing to this expansion.
World of Warcraft Classic
Fresh Classic Progression Servers for Vanilla Classic are coming next Thursday, November 21st, giving players a fresh start with some quality of life improvements like the Chronoboon Displacer to save your world buffs. A Looking for Group (LFG) tool is being added and a services chat channel to advertise services such as portals, summons, and tribute buffs. Self Found mode will be available right away for Hardcore realms. We expect our existing Classic Leveling guides will work just fine for this release.
Season of Discovery Phase 7 will be the last phase. We will have the Phase 6 update when that launches next Thursday and will have an update for Phase 7 when it launches early 2025.
Cataclysm Classic Patch 4.3 “Hour of Twilight” will also be coming early 2025.
Mists of Pandaria Classic – Blizzard have confirmed that Cataclysm Classic will be followed up with Mists of Pandaria Classic and Zygor will be there ready on Day One with full updates when this launches.
Other News

NOTE: Some enhancements have been made to these guides you should find helpful:
I Have That One! This achievement has random mounts that spawn on a stage. You have to summon a mount that matches that mount from your mount journal. The step for this achievement will have an action button that executes a script. When you target the mounts on the stage and hit the button, it will search the mount journal page and you will automatically match it and mount for the achievement.
Peanut Gallery You need to sit at the Story Time event and wait for buttons to pop up at key points during the play on stage, then use the buttons. This has to be done 50 times. We’ve working on a macro that should allow you to spam the button on the step and use any available button on the screen without having to pay attention for the full event multiple times. Keep your guides updated for this enhancement.
TWW Achievements:
We’ve begun adding in TWW Achievement guides starting with The War Within Pathfinder (Beta).
Classic (Season of Discovery)
Season of Discovery – Updated various rune guides for Phase 5 changes.
Season of Discovery – Updated Rogue Shadowstep rune guide to function better.
This week saw the launch of Patch 11.0.5 and the start of the 2024 Hallow’s End event on Retail. You’ll want to make sure you’ve updated to Version 9.5.32634 via the Zygor Guides client to receive these updates.
2024 Hallow’s End Event
We’ve rolled out an update to the Retail version of the Hallow’s End event guides to reflect the changes made in 2024 (particularly to the candy buckets and vendor items). The Cata Classic guides have also been updated from when the event started last week on those servers.
You can find these guides easily by clicking the Event Notification that should appear when you log in, or just search “Hallow’s End” from the Guide Menu.
WoW 20th Anniversary Event
Patch 11.0.5 went live on Tuesday and we’ve begun to roll out several updates to reflect the changes and new content added.
The main content we know most of you are interest in is the 20th Anniversary celebration events. We’ve added a new event guide to cover this content. You should see a general notification about it:
You can also find it by searching “20th Anniversary Event” from the Guide Menu.
