Yesterday we added a new Points of Interest (POI) system to the guides that allows you to see optional activities and opportunities nearby, such as treasures and rare spawns. Here is an overview of how this feature works and how to use it.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

The POI system is automatically enabled by default. You should see treasures or rare spawns you haven’t already completed displayed as icons on your map. Note that these only appear in Draenor zones.<\/p>\n

You can quickly access most of the options \u00a0by opening the main map (press “M”) and clicking on the Z icon on the bottom left hand corner.<\/p>\n

Points of Interest System Controls<\/strong>
\nThe “Select POI Type” option allows you to control which types\u00a0of POI’s \u00a0(treasures, rare spawns)\u00a0\u00a0are shown and the “POI Display type” option allows you to set the mode the POI’s are displayed in (Quick Access or Completionist).\u00a0In quick access mode, only POI’s that are easy to access and flow well with Zygor’s Leveling guide will be shown. In Completionist mode, all POI’s will be shown, including hard to reach ones that might take a while to get or veer you off course from the leveling guide.

\"poi-tooltips\"<\/a><\/p>\n

POI Tooltips<\/strong><\/strong>
\nIf you hover your mouse over a POI icon a tooltip will appear providing you with information such as what rewards and\/or currency you will receive. This is useful if you’re looking to find which POI’s drop a certain item or currency (such as Garrison Resources).<\/p>\n

Loading POI Guides<\/strong>
\nWhen you want to load a POI guide simply click the icon on the main map or mini-map. This will add a sticky step under your current guide step (which will become dimmed) and the waypoint arrow will set focus to the location of the POI. You can set focus back to your previous guide step by left clicking it (this will then dim the sticky). You can switch between guide step and POI’s in this manner.<\/p>\n

\"remove-poi\"<\/a><\/p>\n

To remove a POI click the icon on the map again or right click the step and select “Remove this point of interest”.<\/p>\n

Customizing POI’s<\/strong>
\nYou can configure the POI feature by going into the options under Zygor Guides Viewer \u00a0\/ Points of Interest. Here you can change the size and transparency of the icons as well as the other aspects of the feature.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
