Updater will not install or run

Ever since the big update a few weeks ago, Zygor Updater will not run. I get a msg that says...Zygor Updater has stopped working. Windows is searching for a solution...

I've repaired my Win Framework 4.0, tried to reinstall the updater, used run as administrator as well, all to no avail.

I have manually installed the Zygor Guide and it runs very well within WOW. It is only the Updater that is the issue.

If reinstalling the .NET framework did not help I don't have another solution.
Sometimes Windows does not like certain programs.
Maybe someone else had this exact problem and was able to solve it?
