I suggest flying to Vengeance Landing and taking the Zeppelin instead. Or Dalaran portal to Orgrimmar then Zep to Undercity, depending on how much sight-seeing you want to do on the way

Was the UC portal removed from Dalaran?

Yes, in Cataclysm. There are just portals to Orgrimmar and Stormwind now.

There are no portals back to Dalaran anywhere either, as far as I know.
