Error on a Mac (can't install)

Hi there I get the following error when trying to use the updater... I'm a new user and this is the first installation of the guide.

ERROR

The file "packer.php" couldn't be opened using text encoding Unicode (UTF-8).

and in the "Your account"

Says that I do not have available products.

is there a way to make the first installation manually?

Normally this error is caused by special characters in your username or password. By this I mean anything that is not a letter or number on a US keyboard. If you do have any special characters just log into the Members area of the website and click the Manage Profile tab to change them. Don't forget to change it also in the Updater Settings.

If this does not work, when you log into the Members area right below the client download links is a manual installation link. This will download a zip file that you can extract the guide files from into your WoW/Interface/AddOns folder.
