If you have any items that qualify you for http://www.wowhead.com/achievement=2084, every guide that I have tried that takes me from the capital cities (presumably any location) to a different continent while my http://www.wowhead.com/item=6948 is on cooldown erroneously wants me to use the port to Dalaran. This is great during those times when I am doing things in Northrend, but not so great other times.
The reason being that both Dalaran and Shattrath no longer have portals to the faction capital cities. Only the two Shrines in Panadia have this feature.
Sometimes it is even weirder. My http://www.wowhead.com/item=6948 might be available, yet the Travel System wants me to use my ring.
The ring is still useful for the Northrend guides.
The only guides that unaffected are the Pandaria guides, but vanilla, Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, and Cataclysm suffer.
I am using Fastest, Use Every Trick, and my guide version is 4.0.6832, although this has persisted throughout the past several versions. I am about to update to 4.0.6836.
