Are the faction guides based on race?

Are the faction guides based on your character's race or only on faction?

Because for pre-purchasers, you can be any faction with any race. If I only play one faction, will that guide work for every race including races that usually aren't compatible with that faction?

Right now i play as a Wood Elf with The Ebonheart Pact faction, and i haven't ran into issues yet, so it should work
