Been following the guide since lvl1

And now I'm at a point where the guide says:

* Go to Auridon 51,84
* Talk to Legionaire Artaste
* Accept "The Serpent's Beacon"

The problem is that when I get to that point there's noone there. I looked this quest up and it seems there should be.

I don't know if it's a bug in the game or there's some pre-req for this quest I have not done (meaning the guide did not lead me through it).

Have you tried re-logging to see if that helps? If it's a game bug that will sometimes help. Also make sure you have the latest guide version.

I know I have recently run thru this area and had no problems with this quest. You could always back up a few steps to see if the guide skipped something but I have a feeling that this might be something buggy with the game.
