Flashing minimap nodes option and elites

We had this in Pandaria and now the bug is back where the option to flash minimap nodes prevents the skull for elite mobs being shown on the minimap.
Also affects the crossed sword icon for special events.

And disabling this option apparently prevents the automatic turn in and accept to work.

Hmm, I've disabled the flashing map icons and it just did an auto-turn in and accept for a quest. If the queue isn't too bad for you maybe try deleting the WTF files and resetting the guides? Will wait to find an elite then turn it back on to see if it's gone from the mini map.

I was lucky, I still have several characters on the EU server with the 3rd smallest population so it was possible for me to play this night (5 a.m. here at the moment).

I'll check this later with deleting the settings file. EU servers just went down for maintenance and come back in 6 hours.

I stumbled across the elite mob icon thing because I was wondering why I never saw an elite on the minimap in Shadowmoon, even not the big Elekk for the 3 man quest right after leaving the garrison.
After turning it off I saw the crossed sword icon for an event next to Embari where there's a Draenei on a hill you have to defend from wolves.

I think it should be possible to test this either in Pandaria or next to the big Elekk I mentioned.

Edit: I tested it with a fresh WoW install and the flashing minimap nodes cause the rare mob icons not to be shown.
