Garrison Followers Guide

Decided to look at the followers guide for the garrison and ran into a little problem of an endless cycle with no stopping in sight.


Step 1 - Please choose a follower class > Death Knight Followers (Right-clicked)

Step 2 - ---> Abu'gar
---> Delvar Ironfist (already had/show in green)

At this point, the right click automatically moved me to step 2, then skipped to steps 17 through step 26 (all green), back to step 1 and continues on this loop. Once I got it to stop, step one now shows Please choose a follower class in green (completed) which I assume causes it to automatically goto step 2 and since Dalvar is complete, it's following his quest line.

Just did a check, if you click on ANY follower, they get marked as completed, even if you do not have them and will skip forward to the next unfinished step, but goes back into the continuous loop of step 2, 17-26, back to step 1.

Clicked on Mage followers, selected Millhouse on step 5 which took me to step 94 Accept For the Children (uncompleted quest). I click through to 98 which says click here to return to the followers menu. Upon first time, it then turns green, takes you back to step on and starts the automatic non-stop loop.

Try disabling all other addons and testing again. I am unable to reproduce this looping in game.

With all addons disabled, I selected death knights then Delvar, and it goes into the continuous loop still.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed it

Didn't need to go through all that... Updated to 5.0.10884 and the problem is no longer there.
