After leaving the DK starting area, the guide points you to Ogg and once there, asks you to take a portal to Blasted Lands. Apparently, this portal no longer exists for lowbie toons (there is a portal to Hellfire Penninsula) and the correct pathing should go through Swamp of Sorrows.
