Arrow waypoint guides you for about 5 seconds then stops.

the arrow waypoint will point to the next objective for about 5 seconds before just telling me to go to the zone i am already in. This happens every time a change is made (turning in a quest, switching guides etc)

I have the same issue. I can click the arrow to have it point to the appropriate destination for a few seconds, then it clicks back. This happens on two installs, one on a MacbookPro and one on a Windows 8 machine.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed it

I don't know if uninstalling and reinstalling worked for anyone, but it didn't work for me. What ended up being the problem was TomTom in some way interfering with my waypoint arrow. I disabled TomTom from the character select page, logged in, and the arrow worked fine. Just thought I would leave my input in case it might help anyone.

Did you make sure that TomTom and all other addons have been updated for WoD?

I don't have TomTom and I'm having the same issue. If I click the arrow it will show me the direction for 3-5 seconds then revert back. I have Dominos and Shadowed Unit Frames as my only addons. Running with both off doesn't fix the problem.

EDIT: After about 10 steps from a fresh reinstall it has started working with both Dominos and sUF enabled.
