Alchemy guide thinks I dont have alchemy!?!? Very frustrated player

Hello. My alchemy skill is 525, as is my herbalism. However the zygor guide tells me I need to drop alchemy and herbalism in order to pick up herbalism? I tried skipping those couple begionning parts, but it thinks my skill is 0, and wants me to start over?? If I skip to the end of the "alchemy 1-600" guide it, step 165 says "redirecting to blacksmithing finale". Then the next step is 188 and says "congratulations, you are now a lvl 525 Alchemist!"

Obviously, its not working correctly. Shouldnt the guide recognize I am a level 525 alchemist, and then help me to level the skill from 525 to 600?

Please help! This is very frustrating.

We will have to look into this. Most likely a small bug in the code causing it to not recognize your professions. Please make sure you open your Alchemy crafting window and then try the guide from step 1 again but if it's not seeing Herbalism it might not be seeing your Alchemy level and will do the same thing again. And of course we'll have to fix that typo about Blacksmithing when it should say Alchemy.

Have you tested with all other addons disabled? When you look at the guide selection window in game what does it display for the version number?

I just tried to get my Darkmoon Faire custom guide working because noticed that it skipped all profession related steps.
But when I open any profession window it suddenly detects every profession and shows the appropriate steps.

This also worked with the Alchemy 1-600 profession guide. After login it tells me to drop a profession but after opening a profession window it detects Alchemy 626 and goes to step 3 where it asks if I want to pick up Herbalism.

Ahh, I hadn't thought about it possibly needing to re-detect the professions with the new version.

I don't know if it's due to changes by Blizzard that you need to open a professions window so that the guide can detect the professions.
But before WoD this was not necessary, the guide viewer always detected the professions. I'll have to check if the guide at least remembers the professions or if I need to open a professions window after every login.
