Waypoint arrow only points straight down

My waypoint arrow is always red and points straight down at all times. I am using version 5.0.11149 and I have uninstalled and reinstalled twice. I have also uninstalled and reinstalled WoW. This happens for all my characters on all realms I use.

Try resetting your guide viewer by going to your WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there.

When you reinstalled the game, did you just install over the existing installation or did you uninstall and reinstall WoW?

If you did the former, try what Zygor Support suggested. If you did the latter, As far as I know, the uninstall process removes those files anyway.

I uninstalled and reinstalled. I did not reinstall over the current files, but that is good to know. I will try Zygor Support's suggestion, though.

Thank you, but nothing has changed. The arrow still points down and remains red. Actually, the arrow will correct itself for about half a second (not exaggerating) then go back to a red, down arrow. If I right click the arrow and re-set the route, it still does not work. I am stumped.

Try disabling all other addons to see if there is maybe some odd conflict happening. If that doesn't work try taking that WTF folder and move it somewhere else so it's no longer in your WoW folder. This would have the same effect as if you deleted the entire folder. After you do that try deleting everything in the WoW/Cache folder. Then finally go back in game and test with only Zygor enabled.

Renaming the wtf folder has the same effect as moving it but leaves it where you can find it. Be aware that renaming or moving wtf will reset all wow settings, including graphics

I just rejoined today and my arrow is doing the exact same thing. If I click on it with my mouse, it will correct itself for a few seconds then go back to pointing straight down.

The Zygor support suggestion of moving the WTF folder is WAY over my head. And what do they mean by disabling all other addons? i only have Zygor...

If you have no other addons then you don't have to worry about disabling all other addons. The WTF folder can be found in your World of Warcraft folder (normally located in your Program Files (x86) folder) and it can be renamed to something other than WTF or it can be moved to another folder location.

Since you only have ZG, ignore the one about the Interface folder and just rename the other two.

Same Thing Here - Broken Arrow

I am having the same issue with the waypoint arrow. It just points down and is red. I've tried all the above steps to no avail. Is there any new info on the issue?

Have you tried a /reloadui command in game?
