Direction arrow immediately tells you to exit cave after entering.

I have noticed that whenever I am instructed to enter a cave or suchlike, as soon as I have entered, the direction arrow immediately points back to the cave entrance and tells me to exit.

This isn't too bad in simple caves, but in more complex layouts, the direction arrow is indispensable when looking for the quest objectives, especially when there is more than one quest to complete in the same cave.

Try stepping into the cave a few feet/meters and then right click on the arrow and select re-check route to see if that makes any difference. If it doesn't help please let us know which cave you are in along with the guide and step number so we can do some testing.

Just to add "me too" to this. Every cave I've been in so far levelling through Eastern Kingdoms has done this. It's even doing it in Tomb of the Watchers in Blasted Lands, which makes the directions for completing the Sentinel's/Watcher's games useless, as it's always pointing at the exit. Recalculating the route doesn't help.

Just raising my hand here to say me too. It happens for me in every cave, be it in the Fargodeep mine in the human starting zone, or a cave in Draenor. The guide tells me to enter the cave then while I am in the cave, it tells me to exit the cave.

EDIT: And Right this second I am in the Jorune Mine in Talador... the guide step tells me I have to kill those things down there... but the arrow is telling me to Hearth to fort Wrynn.

This has been happening to me for months. I've only seen in work properly on 2-3 caves and I believe they were in cata and draenor. I saw a suggestion in another thread to enter the cave slowly, this results in the arrow quickly flipping back and forth and stops on 'exit the cave'. A fix would be nice, but I'm still ignoring it for now.

Is this still on the list to be fixed? Just had a frustrating time in the Dor'danil Barrow Den in Ashenvale trying to find my way around with the arrow just pointing to the exit all the time...

Yes, it's still on the list. The team have been fairly pre-occupied lately with working on the Gold guide and I'm sure that after it's been released (real soon now) we should start to see a lot more of these bugs being fixed.
