The guide (v 5.0.11193) registers that you have accepted the quest, and then in hyper-speed plots the travel system and then goes to "You have reached the end of this guide". It is like it thinks you have accepted and then completed the quest in one go.

It should only have done this if Blizzard reported that you had completed the quest objective and turned it in. There are three possibilities for this that I can think of off the top of my head.

1. For some odd reason the server reports that you have completed them when you haven't.

2. You had done this daily previously and for some unknown reason it's still being marked as completed by either Blizzard or us. Most likely not us since we rely on quest history reported from server instead of keeping track of completed quests.

3. There was some oddball addon conflict that allowed this to happen.

If you step thru on the guides to the kill step is it showing as completed?

1. I just picked the quest up this morning, after daily reset.

2. I'd have to check the quest completed API and see what it says, but since I haven't even started the quest today...

3. Possibly, but I have no idea since ZGV and all other AddOns worked perfectly just an hour or two previous to reset, which is when I did yesterday's daily. I did not log off or exited; instead, I did some heroic dungeons for the last hour before reset and after turning in the previous daily.

4. That isn't an option, since it auto-advances from accept through travel until complete.

Hmm.. so you did the daily for yesterday then stayed online and did some dungeons until you could do today's daily? That could be the cause of it then. I believe that once you complete a daily guide the guide viewer does not look to see if it's been completed or reset again without doing at least a UI reload. It 'remembers' you completed that daily guide so it just looks at it as having been completed already and skips to that.

I believe there is also something to do with the guides doing a 'reset' on the daily guides at midnight local (your local) time and there have been some odd issues in the past when someone does a daily after midnight their time and then tries to do the daily again before midnight rolls around again.

Okay, I abandoned the quest and re-accepted. Now it works.
