Travel system sending me to flight points I don't have

I think this may be a 6.1 thing because I've only noticed it today. The travel system is trying to send me to flight points that I haven't learned yet. For example, loading the Felwood guide after completing Tanaris it told me to fly to the Emerald Sanctuary, even though I've not been to Felwood. If I stepped through the guide to a different flight point in Felwood, it told me to fly there.

I did right-click on the Gadgetzan flight master to make sure that the travel system knew about all the flight points I've learned...

Have you tried to reset the profile and then see if it does this?

Do you mean the Zygor profile or the complete Blizzard profile?

OK - I've used the "Reset Profile" button in the guide options but it's still telling me to fly to FPs I don't know.

I wonder if it's to do with the flight path optimisations that Blizzard have made in 6.1. It's now supposed to route you via flight points that you haven't learned yet.

That might be it. I'll see if I can get it to do something similar for me so that we can have a good reproduction of it for the team.

Ok, I'm not able to reproduce this. Try doing a full guide reset by exiting the game and then go to your WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there. Then go back in game and see if that has made any difference for the travel system routing.

OK. done that and it makes no difference, unfortunately.

Do me a favor and perform a sanity check. When in game and you have the guide selection window open, what version number does that show in the lower left?

It's 5.0.11468 - I updated it this morning when the EU realms came back up.

Also, I've just tried on my laptop where I've never played this particular character before, so again had to set up the guide from scratch and it's doing the same thing. For a bit of background - this is a night elf and I've stuck to the Kalimdor guides all the way through to Felwood. I'm decked in heirlooms so have been skipping early to new zones.

The first I knew something was up was when I logged in this morning after 6.1 landed in the EU and the guide told me to fly from Gadgetzan to Gunstan's Dig in South Tanaris, even though I didn't know the flight point. Last thing yesterday evening it was telling me to fly to Bootlegger Outpost and then ride to Gunstan's Dig.

Hmm, wonder if maybe it's something specific to the EU servers. Could you generate a bug report and throw it into a text file and post it up? There's a button for that in the guide viewer options if you click on Zygor Guides Viewer on the left side. Just instead of typing in anything in the middle of the screen click on the button at the bottom (forget what it's labeled) so that you can see the old style bug report.

I've e-mailed support@zygorguides.com with the bug report. The flight paths section shows me knowing all the flight points!

I see that. If you deleted the Zygor files in the WTF folder and had to do a fresh reset of all your Zygor settings then this means that, for whatever reason, your server is reporting that you know all the flight paths when you talk to a flight master. I don't think there is anything we could do about that.

Would be good to know if any other EU users are seeing this. Cartman?

Don't think it's that. I'm in game trying to do more testing and it looks like I've been able to get this to happen for me too. I'll put this onto a bug list for the dev team to see if they can spot why it's happening and maybe find a cure for this. Maybe Blizzard changed the known flights API call.

Thanks - glad you've been able to reproduce it.
