Leatherworking

The guide doesn't seem to understand leatherworking. It doesn't advise me to create anything despite having loads of materials (incl soulbound that I can't do anything else with) that would would sell well.

It's working for engineering, so it's not an all TS thing.

Maybe right now the guide feels there is nothing worth creating to place on the AH right now from the Leatherworking skill. Your market might currently be flooded with the high value items or maybe they're currently priced way outside the normal range causing the guide to ignore that item until it stabilizes.

I guess it's possible, it may be a little overzealous though. I want it to give me advice on the best way to turn 1000x burnished leather into gold. It seems like there has to be some way to do that - what's the threshold for "not worth it"?

I'm not really sure on that one. I don't know all the math behind everything to be able to help determine what it thinks is good or bad. Right now I'm just aware of the general concepts being used in the guide.
