Disabling the "Click here to add waypoint" feature

    Greetings,

I tried to search for this but can't seem to find even a topic about it, but it is really starting to annoy me more and more, very often when I try to accept a quest, or interact with a vendor the guide sets a waypoint on that person because the ADD WAYPOINT thing is right where I need to click on whatever it is I need to click..

often the only way I can avoid that is to either CLOSE Zygor, or move it to another area of my screen each time I want to do these... is there a way to disable that feature? make it optional or something rather than that.. I mean it is enough to cause me to leave the game to type this because I am frustrated at it.. and I don't know what changes you did to do this, but I never had this problem in the past.. I recently came back to WoD after 5 months..

    thanks ,

    Mike

Could you please post a screen shot of the 'Add Waypoint' thing you are referring to?

Ok, so I had to move the guide to get it to do this this time because of the shortness of the goals, but sometimes the guide is bigger with more things to see per objective and when I have it in its normal spot (under my toons name) I cannot click the quest, instead it will put a mark on the quest giver because it bleeds through the quest.. the SS shows it is asking to set waypoint when in fact I am trying to click accept on the quest

Ok, so the pointer is picking up the guide step under the other window. I'll let the dev team know so they can fix this. You might want to move the guide viewer to a different location or maybe enable the auto-accept and auto-turnin features so that you don't have to click the buttons so often, or maybe move the guide viewer to the bottom right and put the raid frames where the guide viewer is.

alright, I guess that will do for now, my biggest problem is that this recently became an issue for me, I have used this product for a while now and until WoD I never had that issue, and being a creature of habit I hate to change my screen because that will confuse me more than having to deal with this small issue.. I hope you understand my point.

I have tried various addons and mods that changed the look of my UI and in the end I hated them all.. mostly because I am used to things being where they are.. no time to re-learn locations when raiding or such.. thanks for the response.. I still love this guide and will continue to support it and use it.. but please try to get this resolved.. ;-)

I know what you mean about having screen elements in specific places. That's why my first suggestion was the auto-accept and auto-turnin of the quests to help reduce how often you'd have to try to click over there.

Out of curiosity, megamike - I noticed you're using the "Clockwork" arrow skin. Were you using its precise direction cogwheel for longer flights in Azeroth/Outland? Or do you just like its shape?

Being a Trekkie I loved the shape of it.. and really it has been the only one I used so that is why..

Ahh yes. Very reminiscent of the comm badges.

I know the Midnight looks like it as well. but it is plain.. I like the flair of the clockwork one.

I can't find my arrow on any of my toons and the enable arrow is clicked. I have tried installing and uninstalling and scan and repair and nothing works

Try going into the guide viewer settings and in the Profile section click on the Reset Profile button. Then type /re into the chat window to reload the UI.
