Shopping - item not being removed from gold guide.

When I add an item to the shopping list from the gold guide, and then buy the item. Most of the time the item is not being removed from the gold guide. The only time I think it is removed is if my gold goes too low to buy the item. The only way to remove it is to add it to the shopping list again and rescan it. It then shows "No deals" and I then have to delete it off my shopping list.

Do you close the Gold guide while working on the Shopping list and then reopen it after you've bought everything?

Just tested it, and the items are not removed whether the gold guide is open or not.

I will talk with the dev team. Does it by chance get removed after you post the items and re-open the gold guide? Normally the gold guide is only refreshed when it's opened.

Nope.
I added item to shopping list. Close gold guide. Bought items, which would then disappear from shopping list. Re-opened gold guide and item was still there.
I then re-added the item to shopping list. Clicked on the item in shopping list which caused a scan to occur and then it would say no auctions, or something similar and then the item would be removed from the gold guide.

What I meant is what happens if you use the shopping list to get the items, collect them from the mailbox, and then use the inventory window to post them? Does it then get removed from the Gold guide after the items have been listed for sale?

Never even checked on that aspect.
It's not the normal procedure I would use unless I had a lot of gold. At the moment I do not have the gold to buy every item found by the gold guide. So I tend to add an item, or a few items, buy them out, then check to see what is still on the gold guide, as those will be within my budget.
I will try your request, but would expect the item to be removed from the gold guide as a scan is carried out when you go to post an item on the AH.

Yes. As I expected, that works because it carries out a scan.
Still that does not resolve my initial query. Items should be removed from the gold guide once I have bought all the ones it found, which is not happening at the moment unless I manually scan for that item.

My understanding of it is that right now the gold guide will only be updated after the scanning when it's re-opened in order to reduce the amount of processing the gold guide would be doing. I think it's that way to help reduce any lag.

I can't see there being any issue with lag unless a scan is activated, which is unnecessary as far as I can see.
Surely. Once the item is bought and disappears from the shopping list, there should be a command sent to remove the item from the gold guide ?
There are commands being sent to update the guide as your gold is reduced. So I can't understand why there is no remove item not also being done.

I believe that the Gold guide does a complete processing of all AH data to determine what is displayed in each tab. It sounded like (when our dev was trying to explain it) there is no code for updating a single line item in the Gold guide. In order to update it, it would need to have the Gold guide process all the data again and create a fresh list of all items to display. If we were to allow that to keep happening every second (or faster) it could show up as lag. That's what I meant by it doesn't do it in order to reduce/prevent lag.

Totally understood what you meant by lag and can see why it would be an issue. I'm sure I'd be on here complaining about that ;-)
Surprised that the code cannot update a single line, but then again its been many years since I did any programming so have no way of knowing how it is being held.
I also suspect that the dynamic updating of the list to remove items that are too costly is simply run against the cost field, which does not need to remove the item, just any entry against the cost variable.

As I tend to add items one at a time and buy them out from the shopping list the following situation has only just occurred to me and something I will check out :
Is the shopping list dynamically updated as you run out of gold ? ie, are items removed from it if you cannot buy them ?
Also, if you cannot buy the whole batch of items, is there any warning of that ? Would hate to buy half the items only to run out of gold.
I'll probably test these later on and see.

Is there any way to add all the items on the gold guide to the shopping list in one go ?
Is there a macro command to press the buy button ? I have some for auctioneer and I much prefer to keep hitting a button than clicking the mouse.

I think that removing one item from the Gold guide might be possible if the code were re-written to allow for it. I don't know if/when that might happen but I just wanted to let you know how it's working right now.

I believe the shopping list is only updated when you purchase all items or when you click the X to remove a line item. To the best of my knowledge it will still show stuff there if you're out of money. I'm not aware of any way to add the items from the Gold guide into the Shopping list other than the normal click on the line. I'm also unaware of any macro commands that could be used for clicking the Buy button. Hopefully one of the dev team will see this and correct me if I'm wrong.
