Waypoint Arrow Just a Red Circle with X, Alliance Toons Only

The waypoint arrow works great for me on my Horde toons. Never had any serious problems with it.

For fun, I thought I'd roll an Alliance toon to see what I've been missing. The waypoint arrow is always a red circle with an X in it. This is actually on both of the Macs that I use. I have tried shutting off all other addons, running /re, nothing works.

I just updated Zygor client to be sure that wasn't the problem; I am up to date.

Help!

Edit: I should mention that I'm an Elite Loyalty subscriber, so it shouldn't be a Zygor content access problem.

Have you tried typing /re into the chat window to reload the UI to see if that solves your problem? If that doesn't work where are you standing in the game world and what guide/step are you on?

Yes, I mentioned that I've tried that. Same thing: red circle with an X in it.

To help debug this, I just rolled a new Alliance toon (Worgen). I made a new profile for him. Immediately: red circle with an X. If I click on it, it becomes an arrow, but when I start moving the toon, it becomes a red circle/X again. I can repeat that (click and it becomes an arrow, move and it's back to the red circle).

I log out to see if that helps: it does. Now I get an arrow. I run around doing quests and it continues to work correctly.

Hmm. I definitely did not see that with the previous Alliance toon (also a Worgen).

I log in as the previous Alliance toon (the one I had the trouble with)—still the red circle. I try loading the profile from my new Worgen, but it doesn't help. Obviously something is goofy here. I promise I haven't done anything unusual that might trigger this behavior, and the Problem Toon is only level 6.

I'm just going to go with the new toon that's working for me. Maybe I've just found an edge case problem.

UPDATE: the bug appears once the human toon becomes a Worgen. I remember now that this is when it happened previously as well, in level 5 when you awaken in the stocks as a Worgen. Same deal: /re does not help, nor does completely relogging or disabling the other addons.

Not an edge case: this is a repeatable bug, and I'm surprised that no one else has reported it. I'm on the latest version of Zygor, have run "scan and repair".

We've had problems in the past with the Gilneas zone and the arrow not working right. We thought it was fixed but maybe something changed and is causing issues again. We'll look into it. If it is that issue come back then the arrow will start working fine for you again once you go to Darnassus and leave Gilneas.

I wondered about that—whether it would go away once the toon leaves the intro area. Thx, I will update if that does indeed happen.

It's not just in Gilneas. I was in my garrison and got it as well. I am currently in Gorgrond and am getting the same thing.

If you're not in Gilneas and having this problem typing /re to reload the UI should fix your arrow.

Seems this bug is either still here or has returned. I am in the exact place the OP mentioned. Worgen starting area and just became a Worgen. Red x is all I get now.
