Gear Suggestion Not Working(For my Enhancement Shaman)

All my other toons it's working fine for. Enable Gear Suggestion checked, Enable Auto Equip checked. Did a reset of my profile and a reload. Re-installed the Zygor guide. None of these fixed the problem. I've even replaced my heirlooms with greys and it still doesn't change them back.

Try doing a full guide wipe/reset.


1. Exit WoW
2. Go to the WoW/Interface/Addons folder and delete the ZygorGuidesViewer folder
3. Go to the WoW/WTF/Account/<accountname>/SavedVariables folder and delete the Zygor files in there
4. Run the installer client and install a fresh copy of the guides
5. Go back in game and see if that fixed it

Does it work for any of the other shaman specs?

Tried switching to Ele and Resto and still no luck. There was a point where this was working for my Shammy as I have gear that it must have equipped for me because I know I didn't. It was just recently I believe once this last patch or so hit that it stopped. I wish there was a way I could back up to a previous copy of Zygor to test it.

When you're looking in the gear system section of the guide viewer settings you have that enabled right? What spec does it show as being active? Double check all of the options in there to make sure you have it set to offer you suggestions.

Enable gear suggestions and Auto-Equip upgrades are both checked. Enhancement Shammy is the chosen spec as being active under item scoring...

Update: Now it's working. Wierd. Oh well, thanks for the help!

I'm having the same issue with a Restoration Druid. Since the latest update, for no explicable reason, my Gear Suggestion (Auto-Equip) Isn't doing anything.

Stripped my toon down the tabard to be sure, but its not placing any gear at all. There are no errors, the settings are as they were prior to the update. (It was working 100% before the update)

In my attempts to troubleshoot, I've cleared the WTF and Interface folder and re-installed Zygor. Using just it and no other addons for the test. As someone who levels purely through dungeons (Tank/Heals Combo with a friend) the Gear Module is the only needed module for me. However I am subscribed to "Elite" so I am sure everything is up to date.

Hmm, when you say you cleared Interface and WTF do you mean you cleared out every file or just the Zygor files?

I Deleted the Interface and WTF files completely. Then allowed the game to repopulate them by launching it, then closed the game and re-installed Zygor (JUST Zygor) with the Zygor Guide installer program.

What are all of your different settings in the gear system section? Have you tried toggling them?

I've attempted to disable it, play a few dungeons then re-enable it.

I've set my Class and Spec, No other custom settings down the botton, I've tried telling it to ignore Heirlooms and Swap Heirlooms.

[Update: I've just Uninstalled World of Warcraft and am now Downloading it fresh. Will let you know how it goes with a fresh install]

I'm having the same issue with a Restoration Druid...

It works with all my other characters. I don't have a shaman to test with, but can quickly level one up if that will aid in the trubleshooting
