Travel system not suggesting a flight path

While on one character, When I get to a step in the Guide (currently I'm in Terrokar Forest) where I should take a flight path to get to a destination, the guide doesn't suggest it. For example...The guide will tell me to turn in a quest to Thrallmar from Shattrath City...but it won't suggest I talk to the flightmaster to take a flight there it just shows an arrow and says "Turn in ..."

I tried this on my other character too and the same thing is happening...I've checked my settings to make sure, and even re-installed the guides but nothing seems to be working...

What are the settings you have in the travel system section of the settings?

I have it set to Fastest, use every trick!

Most of the time with that setting it will not suggest a flight path because they do not always go in a straight line and can take longer than you going in a straight line, depending on what mount level you have. If you like taking the flights a lot then set it to Lazy.

I can't remember the Horde flight paths in Outland but if I'm correct all flights from Shattrath to Hellfire Peninsula, Horde and Alliance, always go through Zangarmarsh which takes quite some time.

There are so many stupid flight paths in WoW that you ask yourself the question if the designers only use teleport cheats.
For example flights to Dalaran do a nice sightseeing tour around the city wasting about a minute of our precious time.
Or if you are doing the Invasion events on Alliance side and fly to Kharanos, this flight makes a nice loop at the gates of Ironforge.
