Horde Undead Step 4+5

Step 2 is to pick up "The Mindless Ones". The guide then skips steps 4+5 which are the steps to actually kill the 2 different mobs and moves to step 6. There is no step 3 in the guide fyi.

When you picked up Mindless Ones did the step turn green? Step 3 was probably class specific.

No idea. Sorry. It just skipped forward to the kill enemies till level 2.

I just quickly created another undead mage and Step 2 turns green as it should as I accepted the quest. Steps 4,5 and 6 are not green.

And 4, 5, and 6 were all skipped?

Yes. Step 4 + 5 that are to kill the mobs for the quest from step 2 (The Mindless Ones) are skipped.
Step 6 is the one you are skipped on too which is to get to level 2.
