Level 13-20 Westfall to Darkshore in one step?

Step 47 is turning in "Patrolling Westfall" and Step 48 is Accept "For Love Eternal" in Darkshore?

How did that random transition happen?

You're being moved to another zone to complete quests there appropriate to your level range. You'll go back to Westfall later. In Classic, you move back and forth between zones much more often than on retail, it's just how the game is designed. The travel system should navigate you smoothly, though.

I agree with bmohl89, it is the most stupid move between zones i have ever seen. You literally spend 2 hours making the journey running through levell 20-40 zones getting killed constantlly. Once you have ran about 300 miles, you leave you there for 2 levels then you have to make the journey back again for 2 hours. This needs to be fixed.

That makes sense to me, however it's having me run through zones that are far too high for me. It's currently having me run all the way to the boat at the southern most point of STV.

It sounds like the travel system isn't working correctly for that journey, we will look into this.

I agree, please fix this ASAP... I'm level 15 and it is IMPOSSIBLE to get from Westfall to South STV... I'm getting chain killed by the mobs that I pull from 40 feet away just by being there, it's been 2 hours that i'm trying to get there and I'm only around the the Gurubashi arena with is mid STV.

Have you all followed the guide exactly? We tell you to set your hearthstone to Auberdine earlier in the guides, so that step sending you from Westfall to Darkshore is assuming you have set your hearthstone like the guide instructed.

Additionally, every Alliance race gets the Menethil Harbor flight path in their 1-13 guide. So even without setting your hearthstone to Auberdine like the guide said, you should still have the Menethil Harbor flight path in the Wetlands, which is where the boat to Auberdine is.

With how enemies don't scale to your level like in retail, you can't really skip much at all in the Classic guides, because you'll end up in situations like this where your hearthstone is not set correctly, or you're missing crucial flight paths that the guide is assuming you should have at that point in the guide. I suspect this is why travel is trying to take you through STV to booty bay, because it's technically closer to Westfall than Menethil Harbor, so mathematically, it thinks it's faster.
