Anyone else having an issue with the leveling guides? (Human Alliance)

I sometimes keep coming to a stalemate. For example, loading the 20-25 guide sends me to Redridge Mountains, but doesn't tell me to pick up any quests and just collect murloc fins without even getting the quest. I got the quests manually but have had many other problems too.

I'm now level 23 and it's sending me back to Westfall to do a quest that is gray for me and to get quests that aren't even available.

It sounds like you skipped a lot of stuff in the guide. Classic isn't like retail, where you can do things out of order and be fine. The mobs and quests don't scale to your level, so if you skip things the guide tells you to do in a previous guide section, you're going to run into trouble like what you're describing. Just try to follow the guide exactly, skipping anything you can't do for now, and eventually you'll get on track with the guide. After that, continue following it more precisely and you should be fine.
