More and more grind

I just finally became "in sync" again after the update yesterday.
I just grinded from 33 to 34. Then, full in sync i used the guide from 34->36
At 50% in, it told me to grind until im 35. Bit strange, but okay. Now im at 35 and 50% and i just told me again, to grind until 36. I didnt skipped a single quest nor were the collection quests before quick done.
Is this intended?

It's not intended, but it needs to be tested further to get those "grind" steps to be more accurate. Once we get both guides updated for efficiency, we will set the team loose on testing those, so they may change in the future. For now, you can skip them, and just grind or run dungeons if you find things becoming too difficult, or you start running into quests you can't accept because you're too low level.

The old guide I am mid 20's (alliance) and have not had to grind once. Plenty of quests usually keep me two or three levels ahead. Perfect, love it. If what the OP is saying is true, these new guides are crap and Zygor did nothing but please a few elitist speed levelers. Shame on you Zygor. It seems the new guide is in Beta, from all the errors people are reporting. Disappointing to say the least, Zygor guides used to be the best.

It's like the new guide is like; well, they don't want to travel for more quests, sooooooo, INSERT step grind 50% of your level, ding, couple quests, grind the next 50% of your current level, or go do a dungeon. lol. Pathetic..

Hey Zygor, I am noticing that if you just skip the grind and continue on it has only prevented me from picking up a quest twice due to level. Was the added grind stops intended to keep you a certain range from expected on guide? I have skipped like all of them and I am still pretty close and so besides some early level ones those things seem to be a bit of a low value. Is it for content difficulty? Will it prevent me from quests later? Or how and why were those spots decided to grind for? I am also a warlock so soloing mobs is easy for me so could be a class specific thing for classes less adept at soloing?

A lot of the time the grind is to try to make upcoming quest objectives easier to complete. Like get you one more level before you have to fight an elite or do an escort quest kind of thing. There are a few times it's just to help keep you at a good level for the quests because doing them when they are green to you will still give the same xp but will be easier to complete.
