Shadowmoon Valley Step 64

Leveling in Shadowmoon Valley, step 64 tells me to "use Drained Crystal Fragment" that was supposed to have been dropped by Karnoth while doing the quest "Shadows Awaken", but Karnoth didn't drop it. How do I go about continuing the guide?

Playing my Dranei Warrior. Step 63 asks for my professions. He's a miner/jewelcrafter, just in case you need to know.

You can skip that for now and come back later to do it. The crystal is not a guaranteed drop and starts a Jewelcrafting quest. It can drop off of many different mobs in the zone.
