Map Points of Interest (Rares & Chests) Disappearing

In order to get my points of interests (rare mobs and chests) to show I have to disable and re-enable them, OR right click on my map to zoom out of the zone, then left click the zone I'm in. Then I can see them.

BUT!

As soon as I close my map and re-open it, the POI are gone and I have to repeat the process. Basically in order to go from POI to POI I have to keep the map up at ALL times.

Is this a known issue? Regardless, anyone know how to fix this?

This sounds like it might be an addon conflict. If you disable all other addons do you still have this happen when only Zygor is running?

Well, this seems to be a problem. It's conflicting with my UI - I don't know what to do now then because I can't play without this UI, but I can't play without Zygor either

I use ELVUI

I'll try fiddling a bit with any and all map options and see if I can get them cooperating in an orderly fashion
